Creation, workshop faciliation and performance: Grouping and Ungrouping Forever (Andi Colombo & Naledi Majola) In Residency at Rote Fabrik Zurich, with support from Pro Helvetia Johannesburg and the Swiss Arts Council In residency at Rote Fabrik, the partnership Grouping and Ungrouping Forever continues their ongoing project Choruscore, developing and hosting a two-day workshop, culminating in a performance. They also run an archival Postage Project with artists from around Europe in which the artists collaborate to cumulitively build an analogue chorus document. This residency culminates in an open studio performance.

Creation, Video & Performance: Grouping and Ungrouping Forever. A performance-installation using the format of the theatrical chorus to look into questions of the self versus the collective, the performance of selfhood, and the need for collaboration. We create a virtual chorus by writing, drawing, and dragging and dropping images, videos, audio files, and hyperlinks onto a virtual whiteboard. Using the elements of “choruscore” including repetition, multi-layering, multi-voice  text creation, and the presence of multiple perspectives in one body, we ask: how much can the internet hold our ideas and make space for us to collaborate? And when does it fail us? This ongoing project had its first public presentation at Arcade2025, produced by the Live Art Arcade in Johannesburg, with Andi participating in person and Naledi joining online from Berlin.
