Grouping and Ungrouping Forever is an artistic partnership comprising South African artists Andi Colombo and Naledi Majola. This partnership s primary interest is in performance-making methodologies and so, their praxis consists of interdisciplinary explorations of performance-making, including freewriting, movement improvisations, and Viewpoints. In 2019 they began to collaborate, culminating in the creation of a live performance piece, forgot/only. In 2021, with the support of the Live Art Arcade, they adapted forgot/only into a film in collaboration with Matthew Griffiths. The film has been screened at the Institute for Creative Arts (Un)Infecting the City Public Art Festival, the Live Art Arcade 2021 virtual exhibition at the National Arts Festival and on national television in the Woordfees.tv Festival. They have been working on the project Choruscore since 2024, having presented its first iteration at the Live Art Arcade in Johannesburg in 2025. In 2026, they were in residency for three months at Rote Fabrik in Zürich with the support of Pro Helvetia Johannesburg and the Swiss Arts Council.
